I am a great coach.. great instincts to find the connection so that a student quickly and profoundly comprehends timing, sound, notes, rhythm, and melody. I have had great success in teaching both individually and in groups. I have many students with physical handicaps.
I am someone with Technical, Performance and Teaching experience for over 30 years.. Many ongoing clients for 7 years or more.
I have worked on films, such as Wayne's World, The Little Rascals, Encino Man, composing, as wellas extensive traveling as a musician.
I attended Berklee College of Music, and have an indepth grasp on Music Theory, Harmony, Composition, and Performance.
I teach in a very easy to understand way, that will have you learning quickly.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always start (basics for beginners) with YOUR favorite songs. We start so that you can learn a simple song in the shortest time possible. That keeps you inspired.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Berklee College of Music Grad..Experience in many live bands, recording, teaching, and film studio work.
I have worked at the Macy Gray Music Academy, School of Rock.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $50.00 per one hour lesson in my home studio in Redondo Beach, and (depending on distance) $60-65.00 for an hour house call.
There are discounts for a 4, or 8 lesson package prepaid.
I have a 24 hour cancellation policy.
How did you get started teaching?
I was laid off of a job at an auto dealer many years ago.. I thought "hmmm, what can I do to make some money, without getting a job?.. so I put some fliers up, and the response was quite good!!!"
What types of students have you worked with?
Many disabled students.. (blind, autistic, physically handicapped.
Professionals (lawyers, doctors, dentists..etc.)
Kids, Kids, Kids!! lots of kids, age 5 to 13.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be Committed, expect some pain in the fingers, and a 3 month learning curve, and do it for the LOVE of IT!!
