Shotokan Tigers

Hello my name is Roland I am a Army Infantryman Veterans, from the 70's and 80's I am old school. I started doing Kung Fu in the 70's living in the (Oakland) bay area. I was station in Germany and started learning boxing, after a couple years 21 to be correct, I followed my work to Crete, Greece I started to work for the Navy as a Environmental Specialist. On the Navy base at the gym was a British Gentlemen Sensei Keith Bailey 4th Dan who taught Shotokan Karate I joined the class and 9 years later I received my 1st Dan in Shotokan Karate. There was also a British Gentlemen who was a good friend of my Sensei (Instructor) Name Sensei Bridgewater 4th Dan Aikido, I was passed on to Sensei Bridgewater to learn Aikido technique. My Instructors wife was a Nurse and found work in Germany so My Instructor passed his class on to me I teach basic Shotokan Karate with Aikido technique.

I love teaching basic Karate everything starts with the basics you have to get the basic correct first, and helping others is a blessing to see them progress forward. No matter how good you are. basic is always important. In Karate we understand everyone body is different and enjoying is the most important part!
