As a novice cook, I was looking for a good class that would give me some basics. The class was great, and I learned a lot on how to approach a menue for the week. Leslee teaches you how to take a few ingredients and multi-purpose them into a number of dishes throughout the week. While her recipes are great, the real value for me was learning how to plan my meals and ingredients for the week to get the most out my ingredients.

Leslee is a dream to work with. My husband and I hosted two of her cooking classes at our home for friends. They were so informative and fun! The food was perfectly delicious and the interactive style of the evening had everyone involved, engaged, and excited about learning something new. We continue to use her recipes and her techniques. I would highly recommend working with Savvy Dining.

This was one of my boyfriend's birthday gifts to me and I loved it! (We paired up with some friends for the lesson.) Leslee taught us how to a cook delicious, healthy meal that wasn't too complicated so I could replicate it at home. During the lesson she talked about the the healthy properties of the ingredients and why we were using them. When the food was ready we ate a scrumptious meal! Fun times!

Leslee Savvy is a culinary master. Her class was well organized, deliciously crafted and small enough to get the personal attention I needed. Leslee rocks!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Depending on what they wish to learn in the kitchen, we would start by getting comfortable with knife skills and safety. Then move into planning a meal or menu for an event. Then how to shop, stay organized and execute fine dishes to share with friends and family.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

AA Culinary Art - California Culinary Academy 1993

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Classes range from $100.00 - 150.00 per student

How did you get started teaching?

Clients in the past asked if I would teach them. I'm also a Personal Chef in San Francisco, CA.

What types of students have you worked with?

Men, Women & Kids too!

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

My class on teaching couples to cook together at home with a spicy flare, with heat in the dishes & chocolate to finish. Pure loving experience for all the couples, most of the ladies said they would save the recipes and do them again for their next Valentine's day together.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Food is fun, an experience for each day, each meal. It should keep you healthy and happy. It's important to eat at home to stay healthy and then splurge on the weekends out sharing life with friends and family.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What they want to achieve with this class. What diet or needs do they have with cuisine and are they ready and committed to learn something that will bring themselves so much joy!
