Gideon’s Guitar
About
I play acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, but right now I've only got my acoustic, so I'm only giving Acoustic lessons. In my opinion, if you're a beginner it really is best to learn how to play an acoustic before you start playing an electric, for a number of reasons. I honestly think if you master the acoustic first, it will ultimately make you a stronger player.
I pretty much teach beginner level guitar, but if you've been playing for a while and already know the basics and are just looking to take lessons so as to inspire you to practice more, that's cool too
When the pandemic lifts we can meet in person, but for now I'm only giving remote lessons. I'm generally available evenings and weekends, but am willing to be a bit flexible.
Lessons are $50/hr; I can accept Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, FB Messenger payments. I can record the sessions if you want.
For my 13th birthday, my mother bought me an acoustic guitar and paid for one year of lessons. it was definitely the best gift anyone's ever given me, that continues to pay out musical dividends even now, 37 years later. (Yes, I'm older than I look). I really like the notion of 'paying it forward'
So, Parents - if you're looking for beginner lessons for your kids (providing they actually want to learn), I'm your guy!
