I have been teaching music in the bay area for over twenty years. I graduated from Holy Names University with a Master's Degree in Music Education. I have taught music to children from preschool to elementary school for over twenty years. At present, I am a piano teacher at Golden Key Piano School in Berkerley. I love to play the piano, and I love to share my passion with my students.

Fiona is a very good and patient teacher. She has been able to keep my kids engaged and helped them make significant progress. She added structure in their training covering scales, music and preparation for the ABSRM which really helped them improve their skills and appreciation for music.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I always start the lesson with asking the student to play some familiar old songs which the student enjoy. Then I will introduce new pieces and work with the students. The lesson finishes with recapitulating what the student learn in the lesson.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I graduated from Holy Names University with a Master degree in Music. I taught piano and music for over twenty years.

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching in San Francisco public schools and give piano lessons since 1989.
