About
I strive to provide a pleasant experience and environment for my students that is fun, engaging, and rich with beautiful classical music. I promise you progress without you practicing daily; up to a certain level (Suzuki Book 4) as I teach students techniques based on how muscles learn movement patterns. Muscles and bodies ought to be trained before focusing exclusively on musical outcomes. For instance, having good posture, range of motion and movement will help students avoid playing painfully, resulting in squeaky and unpleasant sounds, as well as it helps the violinist play comfortably, confidently, and most importantly, joyfully.
I am a violin teacher and performer based in the South Bay Area, CA. I currently play at the California Symphony, Sacramento Philharmonic, Berkeley Symphony, Modesto Symphony, and others. I have 13 years of experience teaching different levels. I only accept a limited number of private students based on audition. Students can expect to study and learn Scales, Arpeggios, Etudes, and standard violin repertoire, as well as studio recitals every 6 months

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Orchestra auditions. Competitions.

My first teaching job was helping my teacher's prodigy students. My teacher wanted me to be their practicing assistant, which led me to build my own teaching skills. I have great observation skills. I have never stopped teaching since 2008.
What types of students have you worked with?
From age3 to adults in 80s.
I have experience teaching prodigies students, high school, college students majoring in violin performance, as well as people who want to take it lightly as a hobby.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Before Covid happened, I founded an ensemble camp for 5 days. Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm. We had a concert on Friday afternoon at a city library. During those 5 days, students learn how to play with others. Also, all the students had a chance to lead the ensemble group.
