Better with advanced but can teach beginners. Studied privately with 5 great musicians over a 20 year period. Teachers were Ethel Leginska (pupil and assistant of Leschetizky), Ignace Hilsberg (pupil of Mme. Esssipova and Emil von Sauer), Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Jakob Gimpel, and Sergei Tarnowsky who, in his younger years taught Vladimir Horowitz. Main requirement not talent, rather careful listening and discipline.
