Ariel Thiermann, M.A. is an award-winning singer, songwriter and vocal coach with over twenty years experience teaching voice. Ariel has taught more then 10,000 private voice lessons, led her Get Vocal workshops internationally and has released five CD's as an independent musician. Ariel works with students at all levels of vocal development. She combines her experience as an artist and vocal coach to bring out the best vocal potential in each individual.

Ariel completed her Masters in Psychology in 2011, publishing her thesis on the therapeutic benefits of voicework (singing, vocal improvisation and songwriting) for all ages.

Ariel lives in the Santa Cruz, California mountains with her husband David, her two sons, Owen (8) and Quinn (6). She currently offers online and in person voice lessons.

Ariel started my singing journey. She taught me amazing vocal tips and exercises that I still use years later! She is also such an amazing person and very helpful. What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Lessons are created for each individual based on their experience level and preferred musical style. Our work together is a collaboration. The most important thing initially to me is to create a safe and inspiring space for you to feel comfortable sharing your voice. From there we can focus on vocal exercises and development, improving vocal tone, ear-training, song performance and interpretation, songwriting and effective speaking.
