I have been practicing yoga for 16 years, and teaching yoga for 12 years.
I endured the very rigiorous and throrough 9 week Bikram Yoga training. I furthered my training and studies with Tony Sanchez in Mexico, and I acquired additional yoga training hours at Samadi Yoga studying various Ashtanga Flow series.
Before Yoga, I was a gymnast for 18 years (On the US National Team) and a dancer, and I still currently dance professionally.
I KNOW THE BODY WELL!
I am very passionate about teaching my students about the connection with their breath, correcting form for proper alignment. When you finish my class, I want you to leave feeling accomplished, happy, and empowered!

I started with a 30 day Bikram Yoga challenge in June 2015. I went every day for 30 days and it changed my life. This is where I met Misty. One of the most exceptional yoga teachers I've ever met. Intuitive and gentle, she somehow lends you her strength when you feel like you can't go on. Needless to say I'm still practicing today. I always call it the church of Misty when I take her class. She's helped me find my inner strength.
She knew that every practitioner had different needs and did a wonderful job of assisting with those needs. So sweet, wise, talented and inspiring!
When I begin work with a new studenI I start with a converstion about any recent injuries or physical conditions.
I assess their current condition. How they are feeling on the day, and we move through a practice based on that information.
It is the students time!, and I am happy to give them what they want!

My physical therapist introduced me to Bikram Yoga, and I loved the physical and emotional transformation in me so much that I wanted to share the gift of yoga with others!
My Mom is now 76, and she practices Bikram yoga 2 to 3 times a week! It has helped her so much! She's a completely different person now!
