Further I have had many years of classroom teaching, and love working as a teacher. I truly like to connect with my students and help them find their own creative direction. I look forward to learning from them as they learn from me!
I also offer harp and guitar if students would like to learn to accompany their songs on either of these instruments.
Finally, as a professional working singer songwriter, I can provide guidance as far as career direction, both in concert performance, as well as through the internet.
I love to teach because I love people, and want to do all I can to give what I have been given to the next generation. Music is a great gift, and I like to encourage anyone who is drawn to develop and express themselves through music, through the voice.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have taught music in schools, and through after school music programs. I am just now beginning my private studio!
I begin by getting to know the student's goals, needs, and tastes. I develop exercises tailored to the specific goals of the student to enhance vocal range, projection, and delivery.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied vocal performance for four years at Sonoma State University. A natural singer since childhood, I began voice lessons in my forties, and studied for the next 10 years. I continue to study with my teacher Christiaan Boehle of Finland who comes to the US bi-annually. I also have a teaching credential for both high school and elementary school in CA. I have taught music in classroom settings, and afterschool programs. I am happy to provide further details upon request.
