About this pro

As a graduate from Biola University's Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Performance I am very passionate about teaching voice. I have studied and performed multiple genres of music (pop, jazz, musical theatre, classical) and love working with students on building their musical abilities.  Having studied classically, I focus on vocal health and technique in my lessons in addition to performance practice and stylistic traits in the music.  I also work with students to build their musicianship through sight-reading exercises.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I offer a free trial lesson to all new students (whether they’ve studied voice before or not) as I believe that it is important for the student to feel comfortable with my teaching style before deciding to pursue lessons with me. In all trial lessons I like to discuss musical backgrounds, set goals for future lessons, and hear the student sing so that we can pick out repertoire.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Master's of Music in Vocal Performance from Roosevelt University (expected 2020)

Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Biola University Conservatory of Music (2016)

Numerous roles in the Annual Biola Opera and Opera Scenes productions, Winner of Biola University's Honors Concerto Competition, Member of Biola Chorale and Biola Vocal Jazz, Worship Leader at First Presbyterian Church of Fullerton, Section Leader at First Presbyterian Church of Fullerton, ect.
