The owner/head instructor is a first degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Mauricio "Tinguinha" Mariano. The Resilience BJJ Academy is a Tinguinha BJJ affiliate academy.
We offer classes in the martial art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Classes are offered for kids and adults. We offer discount pricing for law enforcement, fire, military, as well as multiple family members.
The owner/head instructor has been employed as a full time police officer for over 20 years and is a certified full time instructor with his agency. This gives him a unique insight to the needs of first responders as it relates to self-defense and control in the face of resistance.
