About
Welcome to Take Root Piano! I have been at the piano for over 17 years and have taught for 4 years. I love helping students discover how fun and rewarding music can be. Piano has become a huge light in my life, and I’ve found that learning and practicing a skill like this can spill over and make every part of life better.
Taking Root is all about building a strong foundation. Just like a tree, music grows best when it has deep, steady roots — and that’s exactly what I want for my students: skills and confidence that last a lifetime.
In lessons, I put a big emphasis on sight-reading and accompanying (whether for yourself or others). These skills are the most practical for every-day use and can even turn into job opportunities later on. I use the Bastien Music program as a base and mix in classical and contemporary pieces to keep learning fresh, well-rounded, and fun.
Contact me for a FREE 30 minute introduction! We'll get on the same page about your skill level and gauge where to start. Your first level of books will be provided by me with the purchase of your first month of lessons. Levels are self-paced!
