book learning is fun and super important. But! Not everyone wants to be a classical pianist! My goal is to teach theory and technique but I always save time for a fun pop song of your choice. I’ll get you there faster than most!
Each student’s journey is unique and everyone has something different that makes them tick. Seeing them grow is an absolute joy. I also love accompanying singers and talking about the depths of a storytelling song, as well as technique! I love laughing through my lesssons.

I use the PianoTown book series usually, and I start with fun basic teaching games. As we work through the books, I’ll ask them what their favorite song is and create a watered down version on my computer which I’ll give them so they can start to really get into the music!
I have been teaching since I was in high school, started lessons for myself when I was 3. I have 19 years of playing experience behind me !I learned Flute in 4th grade and have been playing ever since. I went to UCLA and got my Bachelor’s degree in theatre and music directing.
For in-home lessons I charge around $50-60 an hour and if you come to me, $45/hour. Very negotiable
