About
Book learning is fun and super important---But! Not everyone wants to be a classical pianist! My goal is to teach theory and technique but I always save time for a fun pop song of your choice. I’ll get you there faster than most!
UCLA Class of 2017
Each student’s journey is unique and everyone has something different that makes them tick. Seeing them grow is an absolute joy. I love to laugh through my lesssons--makes the tricky stuff go by faster! I also like to reward with stickers on songs well played.....who doesn't?

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I use the PianoTown book series usually, and I start with fun basic teaching games. As we work through the books, I’ll ask them what their favorite song is and create a watered down version on my computer which I’ll give them so they can start to really get into the music!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching since I was in high school, started lessons for myself when I was 3. I have 19 years of playing experience behind me !I learned Flute in 4th grade and have been playing ever since. I went to UCLA and got my Bachelor’s degree in theatre and music directing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For in-home lessons I charge around $65 an hour and if you come to me, $55/hour. Rates negotiable if using Zoom.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What song gives you so much joy that you jump out of bed in the morning?? That's the one that inspires the music that's inside each one of us. Let's work towards recreating that joy!
