I've been a professional musician and educator for over 25 years, working in venues from schools, to piano bars to concert arenas across the world. My experience will not only help you on your instrument but to guide and enrich your life as a musician. Each lesson is focused on the student's needs to progress musically & to also have fun with what they would like to learn beyond the basics of piano & music theory. I'm also able to give you guidance in songwriting, arranging, music production. Lessons can be given in your home, mine or via Skype. I am centrally located in the San Fernando Valley. I look forward to helping you reach your next level of music.!
5 Stars for Rob!! I'm a guitarist, and I have been performing with Rob consistently for five years. He is the leader of the group and a fantastic one. We take studio recordings that are often complex and have to to recreate them in a live setting for a small band. Rob is great at figuring out how to accomplish this and creates clear, easy to follow charts. He communicates well and knows how make the band sound its best. So in my experience, his teaching abilities are on point. He is funny, kind, talented and a joy to work with. I recommend him to you highly!! :)
When I first meet with a new student it's important to see where they are at in their musical studies so we can come up with a plan for progressing forward. No two students are on the same level or learn in the same way. Also, I like to discuss goals and styles of music the student has an interest in. Workbooks are a great foundation but it's not going to teach you to play Elton John or Taylor Swift tunes.
