Hello, My name is James Wise. I was positively influenced on guitar when I was 13. I immediately recognized the beautiful potential of music. As I grew up, I also grew with the guitar. I started playing professionally in LA and Hollywood clubs when I was 16. At the same time I was playing more formally in local jazz bands. I soon found myself working towards my degree in music theory, while also taking lessons from a well known jazz guitar player legend. I've used this knowledge to teach at some of the following locations: The world reknown Academy Of Performing Arts, Music Maker & Wise Rock Studio. In my 20's I continued to play professionally and toured Europe and Japan. Today I am playing in the popular band Neverwonder and proudly teaching the next generation of guitar player greats!!
The power of music is great! It's power can heal, inspire and be used to take out various human emotion. To see the light appear in my students eye's when they start to excel and understand the guitar makes all my experience and hard work worth the effort. I consider it a blessing to be able to utilize my skill to inspire the next generation of musicians.
I have been a student for the last 10 years with Jay. He has a great approach to adapting the guitar to my personal needs. I have grown significantly!
I just want to send out a small letter about James Wise... First off great player, great gear and very cool tone... but more important a good person! Willing to take direction and for sure lead... We have worked with James for 6 months and he went through a extensive audition process to secure and land the guitar position in our band! As I said he can teach and lead to make every situation better... great team player! Thanks!
James has been teaching my son guitar for 3 yrs now-he is great, very patient, and professional and is very knowledgeable when my son has questions James has the answer!
GODS HOUSE CHURCH 6421 Meadow Crest Drive Huntington Beach, CA 92647 714.596.7700 To Whom It May Concern: It is my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Mr. Jay Wise. I have known Jay for over twelve years as a volunteer, friend and for the last year he has been an employee of God’s House. Jay has many admirable qualities. First, Jay is very responsible. He not only follows through completing tasks assigned to him but also ensures that each task is done correctly. He exceeds my expectations and is both responsible and trustworthy. When he is given a task I know that it will be done well and on time even if that means he has to work late or put in extra effort. Jay is also dedicated. During the last year there have been a variety of extra responsibilities that have been added to his schedule. He has fulfilled each of them without complaint. He also has terrific administrative skills and can balance a variety of demands and tasks with ease. He is able to do this because he brings solid organizational skills to his job duties. He has the ability to balance the requirements of both this job and his other responsibilities both at work and at home with success. I am glad to give Jay a high recommendation. Please feel free to contact me if any follow-up information is necessary. I would be pleased to confirm this reference by phone or e-mail. Sincerely, Eric A. Oleson Pastor, God’s House [email protected]
First the student needs to be evaluated based on their skill level. The propper instrument needs to be fitted for the best results of the player. Once that is acertained, a lesson plan will be issued to the student. If the student is younger, collaboration will be set up between myself, the student and the partent.
I have been playing guitar for over 30 years. I have active college advanced music theory training and professional one on one instruction from some of the best guitar players in Orange and LA County. I have been playing with professional groups for 20+ years. I have also been a studio musician for the same amount of time.
