Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I like to get to know who I'm working with, and what specific goals you have. From there we will start with the basics and advance when ready.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
For my creative production work, I have received my Audio Engineering degree at Los Angeles Film School. Audio led to working and training with some of the best film makers I know, which eventually led to business and television.
When it comes to Combat Sport's, I have trained at the Kali Academy, Umma and the Old Man Jiu-Jitsu gym. I have trained with many highly talented and most lethal coachs and fighters.
How did you get started teaching?
My passion and growth in these fields has led me to wanting to share what I have learned in order for others to enjoy.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with men, woman and children.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was privileged to train a Hot Shot fireman in a "Battle of the Badges" tournament.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say, find someone you connect with and is passionate in what they do.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Is this really what you want to do, and even if it isn't something that is going to be a career, it is always great to try new things. Learning something new is never a waste of time, and no matter what, will benefit your life in someway.
