About this pro

I've had three different centers and teach a variety of arts and healing classes. A Writer's Workshop, Percussion Party, Labyrinth, Mask Making, as well as Children's classes for parties. A simple pracrice of yoga postures has cured many of back pain, diverticulitus, and keeps us flexible and slim; yoga also calms and connects people with the "inner self". For further information, Call Doryan @   (760) 799-2138

I love inspiring and empowering people!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Please call me for an initial conversation about your lesson. Often, in one lesson you can learn enough to carry on your practice at home. I like for family members to be present, children as well as elders, all for the same price. Yoga has lifelong benefits for people of all ages.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Since beggining yoga at age 18 in the Beverly Hills Studio of Alan Finger, I have carried on my yoga and meditation practice. I was certified in a month long program at Ananda in Northern California. Please see my yoga website for lots of stories in The Heart of Yoga.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

If I come to your home, a 90 minute lesson (for from 1-4 people) is $60.

You can also come take my class on Sunday's from 10-11:15   at Evolve Yoga in La Quinta cove, $18. per person; unless you buy a week of classes and sample all the teachers.

How did you get started teaching?

My back went out and I had to find a natural cure for it. I am not very disciplined, so keeping a teaching schedule keeps the dicipline up and allows me to share the unique perspective of being a lifelong meditator.

What types of students have you worked with?

I work at Desert Regional in Oncology where the students do not get out of the chairs. I have taught in pre-schools and gyms and yoga centers. You name it, after teaching for 14 years, I've taught in every imaginable situation!

My speciality is "Beginner Yoga".

And

"Create a Meditation Practice at Home".

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

One of my students "Betty", would not do the "Lion" for the first couple months of classes. When she finally did, a month later, she went back to school, worked on creating a new life, and moved to her dream location. Was that a coincedence? I think not!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

It's helpful to state what you need. Especially in a at home class, I'm there to help your individual needs and create a routine just for you.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

How does my body feel? What are my physical needs?

How do my emotions feel? Do I feel I need to be more in touch with my emotional aspect of myself?

Do I have a live or active experience of my inner self? Do I want to learn a couple of simple meditations?
