About
I come from a family of musicians and have been passionate about the art! I have studied piano, organ and voice, performing in choral groups all of my life. I have taught students of all ages. I approach the study of piano by instilling within the student a desire to not only learn the skills but gain a deep appreciation for the world of music and its role in our lives.
I take pride in having a personal interest in the student and in his ability to enrich himself in this field. I seek to make the study and discipline an enjoyable experience. I have spent the majority of my teaching years with children and teenagers but also challenging adults as well! Adults who studied piano and gave it up "too early in life" are encouraged to start back and find the joy of it in their later years!
I have taught in South Carolina and Colorado for the past 10+ years. Many of my students have been accepted in the School for the Arts in public schools.
I have a Master's degree in education from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
