About
I was the concertmaster at Thunderridge High School for four years, and have played the violin for 15 years. In this position of leadership in my high school orchestra, I learned how to both nurture and guide the talent of young musicians learning their instruments as well as refine the skills of more accomplished musicians wishing to take their learning to the next level. I was the youngest concertmaster ever to be elected to the position at Thunderridge High School, forcing myself to learn the intricacies of leading orchestral and soloistic performance, both of which are experiences that not many musicians can claim at such a young age. Furthermore, I was admitted to the Colorado All-State Orchestra two years in a row, and the Douglas County Continental League Orchestra four years in a row, giving me the honor to play at Boettcher Hall many times and work with world-class musicians and conductors on a regular basis. I have played the violin for fifteen of my nineteen years on this earth, and it is more a part of me and an extension of myself than anything else that I have come to know. I hope to share my passion of music and the study of the violin with my students and carry on the legacy of musicianship that has been instilled in me by the many inspired individuals that I have worked with over the past decade and half.
I love to be able to see real progress in a student; there is truly nothing like improving your ability on a musical instrument, and helping others do this helps me to relive my musical journey, as well as to continue it through diversifying my experiences in the musical world.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
No matter the level of student that I am working with, I feel that the two things that matter most when beginning a teacher-student relationship are evaluating the level of technical skill that the student has, and the level of knowledge of music theory that the student possesses. From this, I can make a comprehensive plan for studies on the violin that will both improve the student's technical ability, as well as developing their experience with the world of music and music theory.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing will be worked out with each student individually; I am not in this for the money, I just want to share my passion for the violin and music as a whole :)
