Hello, my name is Eka, I teach piano here in Colorado Springs, Im originaly from Eastern Europe and have been teaching music over 17 years! My lessons are based on students individual needs and interests. I make sure that my student enjoys and appreciates music. Begginer to advanced, I teach all age groups, 5years old and up. We have beautiful recitals twice a year ( optional).
Music is my passion and I love to share my knowledge and watch my students grow and master different styles.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First initial lesson is free, on first session I give detailed information about my lessons and my expectations as well as get to know my student's music skill/experience level, needs and expectations. lessons are based on students interest & level.I can recomend books, my lessons include theory, practice,sight reading, hand positioning, ear training, tecniques depending on students need and interest.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching music for over 17 years. I am professional musician, have earned Master's degree in arts,bachelor's degree in education, I studied music for 12 years, played solo concerts, as well as with orchestra, I'm originally from eastern Europe.I was taught by best professional musicians.

Lessons are 30 min, 45 min, 60 min long depending on student's desire and age.
30 min lesson = 35$
45 min lesson = 45$
60 min lesson = 70$
In case of travel to students location, maximum 20 mile radius I charge $10 for travel fee.How did you get started teaching?
I used to perform classical music, later I found my passion in passing my knowledge to others and have been teaching piano over 17 years.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students with no music experience, begginers as well as advanced piano players. There is always so much to teach and learn.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We have recitals twice a year, where students play for their family and friends and get performing experience and skill.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Quality matters in everything, if you are determined to learn to play piano you need to hire good experienced professional who can guide you and make it easier for you to learn and enjoy.

There are no right or wrong questions. As a Professional I will guide you through every little detail you need/are interested to know.
