Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students should plan to purchase John Thompson’s “Teaching Little Fingers to Play” and Edith McIntosh “Level I Theory and Musicianship”. Those can be purchased at Meeker Music on North Tejon or online from Amazon.com. If the student has been playing for a while, they should bring a copy of the last piece they learned so I can evaluate their skill level.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Studied vocal and piano at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma in the 1980’s.
