What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The owner of our music school is a classically flutist with a doctorate in music and over 25 years of teaching experience. She has hand picked every one of the faculty members based on their teaching experience, musical talent and education. Our faculty hold degrees in music or equivalent professional experience and are a fun and inspirational group of teachers! Our teachers teach for us because they care about the education of the students as their number one priority.

How did you get started teaching?
Teaching music and performing music has been all that I have ever done! I have devoted my life to raising the next generation of students to be excellent musicians and human beings. So much of what we learn about music is a metaphor for life - the ideas of perseverance, hard work, and creating an artistic outlet for emotions will translate to success in any field!
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with students of all levels, goals and backgrounds. Our teachers create a customized learning plan based on the individual student's interests and goals. We teach students in all styles of music!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I highly recommend taking the time to get to know the teacher and the company that you choose. Hire someone who embodies the qualities that you wish to cultivate through music. All of our teachers are not only wonderful musicians, but wonderful people. Feel free to ask us any question about the process, we are happy to help you!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Of course having your teacher travel to you is so handy, but also consider factors such as their teaching/performing background and experience level. A great teacher is worth their weight in gold :-)
