Passionate about seeing each student feel successful: I LOVE teaching students with learning challenges and I have witnessed to power of music to build confidence and strenghthen learning skills over and over.
The best aspect of teaching is watching students develp confidence. Seeing them grow is very rewarding. I also enjoy tailoring my teaching to the unique needs and style of each student.
Kyndra is very knowledgeable and professional.
When I start a new student, the first step is to ask them about their musical goals. I want to make sure that I'm personalizing their instruction for their unique wants and needs.
Secondly, I give the student materials that set him/her up for success. I carefully select books, exercises, and sheet music to fit the student's level and help him/her to begin to grow musically.
Next, I provide plenty of opportunities for students to share what they've learned with other listeners. I offer three formal recitals per year, as well as informal music classes for students who need a little extra support and less stress while playing for an audience.
As students progress, I consistently check-in with them so I know that they feel successful and challenged in their lessons.

Music has always been a big part of my life because my mom was my piano teacher. She instilled in me a love of music and when it was time for me to choose a career, teaching music was a natural step.
I have worked with students of all ages and I love the variety that teaching privately brings to my studio. I have taught classes for babies as well as adults who want to try something new and everything in-between. Music really is for everyone and we're never too young or too old to enjoy and benefit from playing or singing music!
