I love seeing students challenge themselves then overcome. That can be the first time they've played in front of an audience or a capstone senior recital.
I've been teaching for over 30 years now and I still love teaching. I enjoy seeing a student progress. Helping in that process is very gratifying for me.

My daughter has taken lessons with Phil for several years. He is a great teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable and is dedicated to the students and to expanding his own knowledge and talent. I appreciate that he tailors his lessons based on age and is understanding of my daughter’s other school and sports commitments but also holds her accountable for her violin study commitments as well.
