Gary Schmidt Music

I have been taking lessons from Gary for about five years. There are a lot of teachers if you just want to play the piano but if you want to be the very best that you are capable of being then you should sign up for lessons with Gary. He has a lifetime of experience and has played venues all over the world. I do not believe you will find a better teacher and coach.

Gary is one of the most patient teachers I have worked with. He has been providing piano lessons to our family for the past 5 years. My oldest daughter is now in her 2nd year as Music performance student at CSU and Gary has helped advise/guide her career choice as well as provide a solid base in piano skills which have been essential to her success as a musician. I have two other daughters who are current students. Gary is able to connect with each of their very different personalities and motivates each of them keep up their progress. I started taking lessons with Gary last year and now I have the confidence to play at our church on a regular basis. I have significantly improved my skills and he has helped me dampen my fear of solo piano performance. His approach with students uses gentle encouragement and he helps them find a personal connection to the music they play. He is an asset to our community.

Gary is a supportive teacher who is able to help me progress by suggesting works that are challenging, interesting and within my ability. I also like that he does remote lessons via Skype if needed. Highly recommended for kids or adults.
