I have studied classical and jazz with some of the best masters in NY! Began studying piano at 7. Became the teaching manager for Baldwin Piano Co in Bklyn NY for 17 years! Played professionally all over NY as a soloist and with Jazz, Rock, Blues, you name it groups. Studied Music Composition at LIU. Winner Star Search Band 1991! I like to tap into and cultivate my students abilities to create their own music in addition to traditional lesson structure. Being able to create music is truly a gift and a freedom of the spirit, and an aspect that is often ignored by many teachers. Since I teach many instruments, I will also have students come together and play with each other at times. I also do several informal and fun performances at various fun music venues. This gets students motivated to practice! I also specialize in music improvisation including jazz, rock, blues and free form!
