Instructor Philip DeFazio
As a professional performer, original songwriter and experienced teacher, Philip brings a balance of music theory, creativity and constructive guidance to every lesson. He majored in Piano Performance at The Hartt School of Music in West Hartford, Connecticut, furthering his skills in voicing, harmony, and music theory. He has been teaching piano for nearly 20 years. He encourages students to find their own self discipline, improve on their technical skills and explore their creativity.
Instructor Bryan Caudle
Bryan Caudle has been playing drums since he was nine years old and started playing professionally at age 15. He studied drums with several teachers including James Clark and Gene Bozzi. He studied music theory at the Hartford Camerata Conservatory. He has performed with a diverse array of bands ranging from rock, pop, jazz, blues, country, world music, classical and various marching bands. He has toured several countries and has shared the stage with many world class musicians. He began teaching percussion privately in 1990.

At Brookside Music, patient instruction and positive guidance make learning fun and inspiring. We currently offer lessons in piano, drums, percussion, voice, and music theory. More instruments will be offered as we grow. One-on-one lessons give students the opportunity to build upon their skills while our group lessons build confidence to unlock their creativity.
