About
I have taught lessons since 2008 and love it! I enjoy teaching all levels and truly enjoy seeing my students improve and fall in love with playing music. Teaching has been one of the most fulfilling endeavors of my life.
I began playing guitar at the age of 10. With the encouragement of my father, who is also a guitarist, I began to listen to and practice jazz. While in High School I was chosen to be the guitarist in the 2008 Connecticut All State Jazz band. After High School I attended the New School and then the City College of New York, receiving his undergraduate degree in 2014. In 2015. I was selected as a semifinalist in Wes Montgomery International Jazz Competition. In 2017 I finished graduate school and received his Masters in Jazz Performance from the City College of New York.
Aside from teaching, I am also a busy performer I have played at venues such as The Birdland Theatre, Fat Cat Jazz Club, The Rainbow Room, Club Bonafide, the Surrey Hotel, and too many others to name here!
I have been busy playing and teaching all around New York City. I have performed with Ian Hendrickson-Smith (Tonight Show Band), Billy Kaye( drummer for George Benson, Stanley Turrentine, Lou Donaldson), John Mosca, Chris Byars, Behn Gillece, J.J Wiggins, Joe Cohn, Paul Sikivie( Grammy Award Winner), Charles Goold, Don Hahn( Buddy Rich, Beach Boys), Ray Gallon and hundreds of other fabulous musicians.
