As the 18th Connecticut State Troubadour, I am dedicated to fostering community and enhancing well-being through the transformative power of musical arts.
With more than a decade of expertise in guiding aspiring singers and musicians spanning all age groups, my instructional approach is finely tailored to each student's unique learning style and artistic aspirations. I integrate a blend of technique, performance skills, improvisation, creativity, and theoretical knowledge.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our first meeting will be focused on exploring musical background and goals. I want to get to know you so I can best serve you to become the musician you aspire to be! We will work collaboratively to create a learning path that suites your particular needs, incorporating a balance of elements such as technique, performance, creativity, and music theory.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a classically trained pianist and vocalist with 10+ years experience teaching in various settings including private lessons, theater, and choral programs. I have mentored under Broadway composer and singer Craig Carnelia, and Billboard Top 40 songwriter and singer Lari White, and Billboard Top 40 songwriter Stephen Bray.

How did you get started teaching?
During my early musical education, I put my teaching skills to work as a section leader and assistant music director. I took on my first roles as a music teacher around 2008 as a college theater music director, church choral director, and summer theater camp music teacher. From there I began my private lesson program!
What types of students have you worked with?
I worked with vocal and piano students of varied levels and ages from beginner through professional coaching, ages 5-65. I have experience teaching classical, Broadway, and popular styles.
I also offer beginner ukulele lessons that can help anyone get started with basic chords and rhythmic structure to accompany oneself or join in on a musical jam!
