About
As an educator, I am very interested in helping a student understand that practicing and learning is a fun and life-long experience at any age. The importance of creativity and imagination while playing with and without the music on your stand is very prevalent in my private teaching style. I hope that my students will become receptive to the idea that if one wants to learn how to play music, they must find the balance between the technical aspect and what ignites their heart and soul.
I have a Bachelor's in Music Performance from Berklee College of Music and a Master’s in Science in Music Education from University of Bridgeport. I have an extensive private teaching background over the last 11 years, and I am currently a Music Director at a private school. I will work with all students who have learning differences, especially dyslexia and ADHD. I am also a certified Yoga Instructor with over 2,500 hours of teaching yoga classes, and often combine the body and breath connection to music through stretching and movement.
