Crescendo Music
About
The Crescendo School of Music is proud to offer top quality private music instruction to students of all ages and experience. Our highly motivated and accredited instructors teach all styles of music while educating our students with the necessary fundamentals and tools they will need to enjoy music for the rest of their lives. Our goal is simple; give every student a musical gift to cherish a lifetime. While most of our students will simply enjoy the benefits of music, some of our students have and will continue to go on to be much more; such as professional musicians, actors, school band and choir directors and even Crescendo School of Music instructors.
Our objective is to provide a total music resource for beginners, amateurs and advanced musicians. We have created a safe, family friendly environment where students can learn, perform, make new friends and have fun. Students learn with instructors who are currently practicing their art and have established respect and reputations in their fields. Our instructors are dedicated to teaching the skills necessary in music to nurture and inspire a lifelong enjoyment of music.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We find that for a student to reach their highest potential, one-on-one lessons with a caring and invested instructor is superior to any other method, which is what we implement here at Crescendo. We first and continuously assess the student's needs, background (if any), interests, and ways they respond to instruction. Each of our our lessons is catered to the student, rather than a single curriculum schoolwide. All of our teachers are vetted to ensure we employ highly qualified instructors, and create a safe environment for our students. We take pride in our team, and their ability to educate students of any age and experience level.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our regular lesson rate is $57 per half hour, and $114 per hour. This applies to single lessons with no committment, which can be taken within one week of scheduling.
We offer discounted rates at $47 and $94 for students who commit to a full session of lessons. Committing to a session implies that students come one a week, at the same time/day, with the same teacher, for the duration of the session. Our sessions are all pro-rated, and students may enroll at any time. Dates and more information are available on our website.
Please keep in mind that all of our lessons are one-on-one, with highly qualified instructors. We find that this is by far the best way to learn any instrument.
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with students of all ages and experience levels. We're proud to have entire families perform at our recitals, parents who take lessons and inspire their children to do the same, elementary students who need more focus than what they receive in school, high school students wishing to pursue a music degree in college, and anyone with a dream to play along to their favorite artists, or perform in public.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We hold two recitals per year, which although are not mandatory, are highly encouraged and attended. It provides our entire team, from our teachers, to Music School Director, and Owner, with a sense of pride. Each recital reinforces our continuous efforts to share the joy of music.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
We cannot put into words how important it is to have a private lesson. It's essential to learn any skill, and especially so with music. Students taking a music class in school are competing with dozens of others for their teacher's attention, and makes it impossible to focus on the nuances of an individual's playing and understanding of music.
