Suzanne Brindamour Guitar Lessons
About
My teaching approach:
I have been a performing singer/songwriter/guitarist for 15 years, as well as a composer for film & television. I have taught lessons to all ages for over 3 years. Lessons are tailored to the student and taught holistically. We go at the student's pace and take the appropriate direction to inspire the student to continue. Learn to train your ear, chords, songs, rhythm, finger picking, basic theory & understanding of music. Lastly, I have a great love of music and will do my best to cheer you on!

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:
I'll start with some chord positions and finger exercises. It's easy to assess my students because most of them have little or no experience playing. I prefer teaching beginners.
A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:
A typical lesson includes learning open chords (later advancing to bar or power chords), learning some terms and the basics about the guitar and music, some ear training exercises, left and right finger exercises, going over how to read a rhythm, and putting it all together to play your favorite songs. Basically, it would be 75 to 80% 'playing' and the balance, musical education.
The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:
My ideal guitar student has a passion for music and the commitment to follow through.
