About
Are you interested in learning how to play the violin? My name is Berkeley and I am an experienced violinist with an undergraduate degree from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University. Currently, I am participating in a conducting apprenticeship at the San Francisco Philharmonic.
No matter your level of experience or exposure to the instrument, I will tailor my teaching to meet your individual needs and goals. I sincerely believe that anyone can learn to play the violin with the right instruction and practice.
With over 6 years of experience as a private instructor for children and teens, I am passionate about helping young students achieve their musical goals and nurture their love for learning music. I design my lessons to be productive and challenging, in a way that engages both intellectual curiosity and effective techniques. I work to develop a personal practice plan and provide attentive guidance on technique, music theory, and performance skills.
With my classical music training, I aim to untangle any hesitations about learning music theory often ignored in traditional instrument lessons. Furthermore, I strive to build an appreciation for music in context with your personal interests and taste.
If you're ready to take the next step in your musical journey, contact me at [email protected] to schedule your first lesson. I can't wait to help you become the best musician you can be!
Best regards,
Berkeley
