About this pro

We teach Piano, Voice, Guitar, Cuatro P.R. Cuatro VE, Bass, Drums, Latin percussion, Violin, Viola, Cello, Flute, Clarint and Saxophone in the same location.

I enjoy it because it is my passion. It is like I'm not working. I help my students by adapting the lessons to each individual. Each individual is unique and has different needs.

I have been teaching for more that 25 years in Orlando and Puerto Rico. I hold a Masters in Music Education from FSU, and hold a Florida teaching certificate, and have been awarded teacher of the year in 2007 at OCPS.

At 70 years old, I finally had the time to take piano lessons. Gabriel was the perfect instructor. He was very patient and encouraging, and was able to figure out a schedule that worked for both of us.

Family oriented music place.... Instructors are very talented and professionals. Love the Recitals.... an opportunity to perform for your family and friends... If you are a beginner in the music or want to improve your skills.... this is the place to be.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I ask them whay is there goal. After thay tell me what is in their interst then I mold the class to their liking. Of course I teach the basic fundamentals first. All beginners should have a strong grasp of the basic fundamentals of playing an instrument.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

The teachers a the school hold B.A. in music education and I hold a Masters degree in music education from Florida State University.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Standard prices are $23 per half hour lesson and $46 for the hour lesson. There is s $30 registration fee. The lessonas are paid by the month, four lessons a month will be $92.

How did you get started teaching?

As soon as I grduated from college I applied to teach at the public school system ans a music teacher, and now teach private lessons.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with students as young as 4 years old all the way up to 80 year old adults, it is never to late to start.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

A few days ago a parent approached me said that for the first time her daughter had received a C on a math test. And she said that her daughter always received F's. The parent said that her grades had been going up ever since her daughter has been started taking music lessons. The parent said that she was absolutely sure that her grades went up because of her involvment with music lessons. That made my day!!!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Find a teacher that is willing to teach you at your pace but at the same time challenge you to be the best that you can be. The teacher should master the instrument and be a good model for the student.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What knowledge and experience do you have teaching the instrument?

Do you teach every student the same way or do you mold the class according to the students need?

What are your prices?

Do you offer recitals at your school?

Do you have a make up lesson policy?
