Gail Robin

About

Gail Robin has been providing private piano lessons in Boca Raton and surrounding cities since 1995. All levels are taught. Ms. Robin has special training for preschool music orientation and has had students as young as 3 years old. Many of these students are now playing advanced classical music as well as pop in their early elementary school years and enjoy performing these pieces in Gail Robin's annual Piano Recital.

I love to pass on my passion of music to my students. When I was a child taking piano lessons, my teachers were extraordinary. To this day, I think of them, and I actually use the method they taught me, because it's works! Since 1975 this method has never failed. I also love to see the joy in my student's eyes when they see what they have accomplished. I am also passionate about creating a "community of young musicians", which is accomplished in my annual Piano Recitals. The kids get to know each other and they enjoy meeting other children with a "common interest". My students always learn by watching the others perform. I don't believe in a "backstage". I want them to see the others perform. Quite often, after a Recital, students request to learn the pieces they have observed.

Gail is an excellent piano teacher, a talented musician, and so personable! She taught my sons to read music and play piano, while exposing them to a range of artists. Her homework assignments were reasonable and effective. She made learning the piano fun, often singing along. Gail was their piano instructor for over 5 years, and developed their love of making music.

My son, 6 years old, has severe ADHD and i was on the constant search for the perfect piano/singing teacher for him. After failed attempts with others, i was introduced to Gail and we have not looked back! We’ve been working with Gail for over a year and my son looks forward to his lessons weekly, not wanting them to end even after an hour. For a child with ADHD (or any child really), that is Huge. Gail is incredibly knowledgable in all things music and acting but also knows how to make it fun and interesting. For a child, making something enjoyable is most of the battle and Gail has nailed that part of teaching. What i also love are her recitals her and her husband put on twice a year for students to showcase their talents and it gives a goal for their hard work. We just love Miss Gail and feel lucky to have found her!

Frequently asked questions

I always recommend a "trial lesson" first. This gives me the opportunity to "size up" the student. With 4 decades experience I'm looking to see 1. the student's ability to take instruction. 2. Does the student like me? Because it's a one-on-one lesson, there has to be rapport between student and teacher.
