Rhonda has over 15 years of experience teaching and instructing piano lessons to begginers and intermediate students. In addition to these one-on-one lessons, she has also been an adjunt professor for the State University of New York and an online instructor.
Lessons with Rhonda also include an online website component to enhance and help you remember what you learned.
Advanced Beginners and Intermediate Students will have the ability to also add a component to their lessons for music appreciation.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Students first lesson consists of a review of their current knowledge of reading music and music theory as well as an analysis to discover how they will learn best while taking lessons.
Students will then be able to purchase books or be given information on where to purchase the specific books.
Each lesson consists of fun activities, theory, excersizes, reading music and playing music.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in a recital performance of 2 pieces of music they learned.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 15 years of experience teaching piano lessons to students of all ages from beginner through advanced.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Tuition is paid on a monthly basis on the first lesson of the month for all the lessons in that month. Lessons are once a week for 1/2 hour at the rate of $30 per lesson.
Students can also request 45 minute lessons for $45 per lesson or 60 minute lessons for $60 per lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching family and friends, then their children. Within my first year I had over 10 students. Then I began teaching children in my neighborhood and began getting recommended by piano stores and teachers to others. It just grew and it is my greatest love..giving the gift of music to others.

I have worked with children ages 3 and up.

I have worked with disabled adults and children, autistic children.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was able to teach a severly ADHD student how to focus on his reading of music in order to be able to play a piece of music he always wanted to play. It was so rewarding to see him accomplish his goals.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I was tell someone they should meet their piano teacher and make sure that you connect with them.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Also figure out if you are learning for a specific purpose and make sure your teacher is going to help you reach your goal.
