About
Background:
Graduated with honors from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California, USA, in 1988.
While there, he studied under guitarists of the caliber of Scott Henderson, Frank Gambale, Joe
Diorio, and Paul Gilbert, among others, distinguishing himself by achieving the second-highest
GPA in the graduating class of 1988.
In 1990, he founded the Institute of Contemporary Music Technology (*Instituto Tecnológico de
Música Contemporánea*).
In 1992, he began serving as the representative for the Musicians Institute University in
Argentina, and subsequently throughout all of South America.
In 1996, his institution was officially incorporated into the formal education system under
registration number A-1256, implementing its own curriculum: "Training of Technicians in
American Popular Music.
" This program was endorsed by the General Directorate of Private
Education Management, an agency under the Secretariat of Education of the Government of the
Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. The degrees awarded are recognized by 108 consulates
worldwide.
Subsequently, he created the degree program "Training of Higher Technicians in Popular
Music,
" thereby elevating the institution to the highest level of tertiary education in the country.
This program was implemented for the first time in the nation at his institute; it was later adopted
as the sole valid official curriculum for all institutions wishing to offer higher technical degrees.
These degrees are also recognized by 108 consulates worldwide.
The institute has hosted classes taught by Argentina's most renowned musicians and
educators, including Juan "Pollo" Raffo, Luis Salinas, Francisco Rivero, Anel Paz, Alejandro
Herrera, Guillermo Vadalá, Marcelo Torres, Carlos Riganti, Daniel Volpini, Sebastián Peyceré,
and Jorge Cutello, among many others. Thousands of students have passed through its
classrooms—many of whom are now musicians of great renown—having performed alongside
artists of the caliber of: Gustavo Cerati, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Virus, Fito Páez, Alejandro Lerner,
Indio Solari, Christian Castro, Shakira, Divididos, Emme, Emmanuel Horvilieur, Fats Fernández,
Santos Inocentes, Juana La Loca, Anel Paz y la Triple Frontera, Luis Salinas, and David Lebón,
among others.
At his institution, he hosts seminars featuring musicians of the stature of: Scott Henderson
(Chick Corea – Jean-Luc Ponty), Tribal Tech, Joe Zawinul (Weather Report – Miles Davis),
Frank Gambale (Chick Corea Electric Band), Mike Stern (Miles Davis), John Scofield, Allan
Holdsworth, Danny Gottlieb, Joey Heredia (Stevie Wonder), Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake),
Renato Neto (Prince), Pat Buchanan (Cyndi Lauper), Gerald Veasley, Larry McCray, and Nicko
McBrain (Iron Maiden), among many others.
He served as a columnist for the prestigious Argentine magazine *Todo Guitarra y Bajo*
, and in
the past, he contributed columns to publications such as *Músicos* and *El Musiquero*
—also
based in Argentina.
As a music producer, he has worked with Luis Salinas, Escocia, and Natas. As a composer, he
has collaborated with Anel Paz y la Triple Frontera.
In the field of advertising, he has been recognized with numerous awards, including: a Gold
Clio, honors from the Cannes Lions Festival, the London International Awards, The One Show,
and the *Lápiz de Oro* (Golden Pencil).
