Team Marfort Muay Thai/ Kickboxing
About
We are the only traditional, authentic Muay Thai school in Coral Springs FL area. We offer bag and conditioning classes, pad work classes, technical Muay Thai classes and sparring classes. Our goal is to cater everyone's preference, and this is how we came up with all the different type of classes (we welcome begginers that just want the fitness aspect of it to Professional fighters).
I took my 1st Muay Thai/ Kickboxing class in Argentina about 17 or 18 years ago but i didn't really get into it until i came to the USA around 2002. I loved everything about the sport and i found myself competing 6 months later. I competed for about 4 years in which i won the Florida State Championships, US Open, and came in 2nd place at the World Championships.
Unfortunately i hurt my neck and can't compete anymore but i found that i enjoy more teaching and seeing how everyone improves their fitness level, technique, weight lose, and the Team Idiology- Friendship that this sports gives us.
I also specialize in stregth training which gave me the oportunity to train NFL Football players, Elite Runners, Triathletes, Fighters, Tennis Players, Golfers, and Polo Players to mention some.
Please feel free to go to our facebook page Team Marfort Muay Thai/ Kickboxing and follow us. Our website is being renovated.
We welcome everyone to try out a FREE class before committing to it. I believe that people need to do something they really enjoy to continue a healthy and active lifestyle and this is why i prefer them trying it out first. At the end of the day the idea is to be healthier and more fit in an activity we truly enjoy and with people we feel comfortable around.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually make new students work one on one with me the first class, this way we can work on basics and explaining proper technique. This way he or she doesn't feel overwhelmed and it allows them to be more relaxed, comfortable and not affraid of making mistakes infront of the more advanced ones eventhough we are all very welcoming and helpful towards new people taking our classes. Also, it allows me as the intructor get a better understanding of their goals, and expectation while training with us.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a Certified Personal Training since 2004, specializing in Weight Training and other areas of fitness such as Plyometrics training, Running mechanics and Nutrition, which allows me to understand even better the movements of Martial Arts to avoid injuries and improve performance.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing list

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching for my first Instructor at the time at American Top Team of Sunrise. First he made me teach randomly the basics class on the pads and after few months i was in charge of teaching the fighters technical class.
Few years later i started teaching for a franchise called LA Boxing but not for too long since they have to close the doors. Then I continued teaching for 4 years in a gym called World Championships Martial Arts. Unfortunatelly they also decided to close the doors to their gym and that is when i took on this amazing journey by myself and it's been a great 5 years so far with my own gym and looking forward to many more.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students and fitness levels. From people that have never worked out before and want to lose weight, to older population people whose goals were to be able to step up into the tour bus if they went on vacations, people with severe obesity, someone with M.S. (Multiplesclerosis), young population that want to build miscle mass, kids with Down Syndrome and Special Needs, semi professional runners, Triathletes, Tennis Players, Golfers, NFL Football Players, Professional Polo Players, Hollywood Actors, and amateur and Professional Fighters.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was just at the World Muay Thai Championships in Orlando in which one of our students competed. It was amazing not just because of the fights but everything else that this sport brings like humility, respect for one another, the Team ideology, compassion, and for me more than anything is seeing people being humble.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would tell them to find a gym that has quality teaching, and that makes you feel comfortable and welcoming from the instructor but also from the students. Remember that there's many schools that say they teach different Martial Arts but sometimes they say it to get people in the door. So make sure they are truly knowledgeable in the Martial Arts you want to learn or sport for that matter.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What brings them to the gym in the first place, such as weight lose, fitness conditioning, being bullied maybe, self esteem, learn how to defend themselves, to mix up their workouts, to go into amateur of profesional competition? Those are just some questions or reasons why people come to see me specifically.
