About this pro

Playing guitar is so much fun and should be fun while you're learning, too! Clearly there are challenges and frustating parts and that's all part of the adventure. I'm mostly self taught and I want to share what has worked best for me and all the insights along the way. Also, I learn to teach you! If I don't know, I'll find out. Wether you're interested in the spirit and sound of music, want to write originals, or play and sing the songs you love, I am excited to go there with you.

There's nothing more satisfying than playing with others. Even one or two notes, when played together; resonance is felt, and much like having a great conversation, a new experience is created that wasn't possible alone. It was so hard to get good enough for my own approvale, but when I stared to play with others, everything got easier and more enjoyable. I waited too long to play with others because I wanted to be good enough first, and I had it all backwards. I'm still shy to play by myself and would rather share the stage, porch, or what have you. Music is the best!

Jeremiah was very good at breaking down things and finding a way to explain them so that I could understand. I’m very happy with the experience. Fun too!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Let's see where you are at and what you want to learn or experience. Then we can proceed with an effective way to use your time practicing. For instance, if you're intersted in folk music, we would start with folk chords. If you want to play grunge of rock, power chords! I want to see how you learn best and find ways for you have fun right away.  I'll help you handle frustration and keep you in a productive state of mind. You can do it! The begining is the most difficult, and when you break through, you'll finally be able to say, "I'm a guitar player!"
