Matt Keene Music
About
I've been playing guitar for 8 years and trumpet for 6.
I play various styles of music on guitar (fingerstlye, jazz, metal, blues, etc.) and I am comfortable teaching all of them.
I have only played trumpet in a symphonic setting.
I have a working understanding of music theory, so for those who are interested we can go in depth with the theoretical aspect of what I am teaching you. However, theory isn;t a must so if it intimidates you or you don't care, we don't need to worry about it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If they're completely new, I start from the ground up. I work fundamentals and go from there. I take into account that each student will learn a little differently.
If they're already experienced, I try to figure out what they know so I know what to teach. With the more experienced they choose what they learn.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm currently going to school for music education. I've been involved in music programs since I was 12 and learning since I was 10.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$40 per hour.
If there is an issue financially, the rate can be discussed.
How did you get started teaching?
People I knew wanted to learn instruments I play. It all just kinda grew from there.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've only worked with teenagers. However, I do not have a preference regarding age.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Do I want to put in the time required to learn this instrument?
