I am a chef and writer, author of 2 cookbooks. One is a 7 x award winning Ayurvedic cookbook, Eat Taste Heal. I teach small classes, mostly demo style with dishes from all around the world using Ayurvedic principles.There is a high educational content to my classes and we use all organic ingredients.Special attention to spices, understanding your body type and delicious combinations of foods with attention to detail. All dishes are vegetarian and a lot are vegan. I have been teaching for about 30 years now. My lessons can be 90 minutes or up to 6 days long!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have several processes and approaches.I tend to favour a series of lessons, say 6 classes each about 3 hours long.I teach groups and individuals and families. I incorporate understanding of different principles about healing effects, bodytype analysis and holistic approaches to cooking, meal plans and health using Ayurvedic principles which aim to improve digestion and therefore overall health ,balance and mental harmony. Food and its preparation is an art and a science. Cooking is a way to live life harmoniously and joyfully. I teach how people can bring consciousness into food and therefore raise the quality of their life and the environment through awareness of where food comes from and how food affects us on every level.I show how spices and tastes and qualities in food will influence health and well being profoundly.I like to show how creativity in cooking is an expression of ourselves and our own being. Therefore the joy of cooking becomes a transformational tool to enhance our life and the life of those around us.
