There's no greater satisfaction then watching a beginner hit the ball up in the air with a better level of consistency. Or if I'm working with someone who's been playing for years, but gets stuck and just can't figure out how to hit the shots they know they're capable of, and then in only a few minutes have the light bulb go off for them! To watch the smile on their faces, and to finally feel like they know exactly what they need to focus on to get the results they want! This is why I teach.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing is to find out what students want from taking golf lessons.
Are you an avid golfer, a beginnner, playing for social reasons, or trying to use golf to develop more business?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been teaching golf for over 35 years, and formerly owed a golf shop in Buffalo, New York. I'm also in the PGA Golf Management program.
I was an assistant golf coach at Buffalo State College.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons start at $85 for a 45-minute lesson, and for juniors rates are discounted 25 percent.
For those seeking long term improvement, lessons can be further customized through our Player Development programs.
Series of lessons can be as few as four lessons, or more advanced packages include from ten to fifteen lessons.
The package we reccommend is based on your specific goals and needs.
How did you get started teaching?
I started golfing at age 11 and fell in love with the game.
I entered the golf business in 1984 and started teaching a couple years later after seeing the need for quality instruction.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students as young as 3 years old, and have taught students well into their 80's.
The main types of students I specialize in are: beginning to intermediate women, golfers trying to reach a milestone such as breaking 80, 90, or 100; seniors who have lost distance, and business men and women looking to use golf as a platform to developing additional business.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Dave, an 82 year-old student had been very frustrated with his game getting worse, after playing for over 50 years.
After having the opportunity to help him, and watch him improve, I actually saw him smile!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always have a phone conversation with your prospective teachers.
This is the easiest way to see if a teacher is a good match for you, and to get a feel for their style and overall teaching experience.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How much will I play?
How much will I practice, if any.
What is my budget for golf lessons?
Did I talk with my teacher regarding any concerns, before hiring them?
Does the teacher offer a refund, if I'm not satisfied with my lessons?
