Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Since I am a Christian I first start with a prayer on every class i teach, I feed the spirit first. Then i teach the basics. Correct stances, how to punch, how to kick, how to block, how to take hits. If you don't know the basics how do you expect to use techniques correctly. Then I teach techniques.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 20 years of Martial Arts experience. Have fought tournaments and have fought in professional sites.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Call me I will work with you, I am not pricey. I am considerate will be cheap. Depending on where you live and where we meet determines price.
How did you get started teaching?
I started kung fu in 1997 and on 2003 I became an instructor. My sister married one of the teachers and well that was a blessing and i had free private classes to advanced as a student and a teacher. I began teaching my own classes back in 2011 in my church. I am a Christian so please note I do pray before every class starts.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with both adults and teens. I have taught kids but prefer not unless if parent sees child really really loves Martial Arts.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
That you ask the teacher are you focus more on fancy stuff or teaching me how to really fight. Some teachers will lengthen the teaching just to milk the students money and won't start teaching the student how to fight much later on and some never really do teach stuff that works in the streets. Martial Arts should not be complicated should be easy to learn like boxing and wrestling.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1.) What is my purpose of learning Martial Arts?
