About
I am an extremely perceptive teacher who tailors the instruction to include not only the desires of the students' musical tastes but also the emotional and physical abilities and time constraints (availability to attend lessons and to practice for them.)
I am a caring teacher who can instruct students who love to play the piano. I can bring out the best from the hearts of students and am grateful for their loyalty and appreciation.
I am a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music, Steinway Certified Teacher and trained and passed both the Music Together (r) training program as well as the Handwriting Without Tears (r) programs. It makes so much sense to combine the needs of students, some who have needs for fine motor control, looking to become more of a competitive pianist and others simply looking for a hobby, with my extensive experience and knowledge of teaching and of playing the piano.
I understand the concerns and needs of students. My great passion for spreading he joy of creating beautiful music along with helping to accomplish much more than just playing the piano is my absolute enjoyment and pleasure in teaching.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I assess the skills of the student along with their age and ability. I consider their interest in music and whether or not there are potential time constraints due to other extra-curricular activities. After this assessment, I promptly assign suitable music along with musicianship and theory materials that will both enable learning and be fun!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a First Place winner in both the Palm Beach and Broward County Music Teachers Association Intermediate Competitions and First Place winner in the Broward County Music Teachers Association High School Competitions. My resume is genuine and include other very significant achievements. However, my most cherished accomplishments document me has a high achiever who is kind and a team player. A person who helps others and has perception into how to motivate other to rise to a higher level.
I am permanently certified as a teacher with exceptional knowledge and pedagogy (how to teach) training.
Also, my years of teaching experience and love for working with people are certain training assets.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently my students performed for residents in an assisted-living facility. A former student (and Class of 2016 Pompano High School Valedictorian and "Mr. Pompano Winner") returned from college and agreed to play duets with me for the audience. They cheered! The happiness in the room was amazing! It couldn't have gotten any better until my now former student (and Westminster Academy Winter Court Queen) came up from the audience and made a public testimony about her long-time piano study-- and performed for her high school graduation one-week later. I am so proud of these wonderful young adults that came to me as little children not so long ago!
