About
I love sharing music and teaching music. I spent two years teaching music overseas. I teach all ages and can teach the following instruments: piano (beginner to intermediate), flute (beginner to intermediate), ukulele (beginner). I teach classical and folk styles. I have experience with piano accompaniment and can give you tips on how to play for your choir or orchestra.
Music is my passion. I love singing, playing, and sharing music with others. I enjoy helping others find that passion.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step for a new student is to evaluate their skill level and abilities, and to find out what their learning goals are. The first lesson is more of a "getting-to-know-you" experience, for me as the teacher to understand how best to teach you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I did not study music in school, but I am passionate about all things music, and I spent 2 years teaching music in a music school in Thailand. This gave me some valuable teaching experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My prices are as follows:
1/2 hour - $40
45 minutes - $55
1 hour - $70
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching while I was in college, when I had a couple of young students. This is where I first discovered my love for teaching music. I then got a job teaching music overseas, and found that this is something I truly love doing, and would consider doing long-term.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from ages 4-44. For smaller children, I recommend shorter lessons. For adults, it's your choice. :)
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should think about what style of music they are interested in learning to play. Bring songs you would like to learn. Tell me whether you have difficulty reading notes, or if you find it easier to play by ear.
