The typical process that we conduct is ,
In home or on call interview to find out what level and books he/she needs.
Also getting help with purchase musical instruments

Speaking for myself I can tell since I began to teach 27/years I have been blessed to teach great talented music students that the majority of them got scholarship and acceptance in the best music institutes nationwide

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when I complete my ,
Master Degree in Bass Performance from BIT music institute ,and teaching was a part of my music career because I developed new technic that I want to transfer to the new generation
What types of students have you worked with?
Any level and any age .
But I have to add that there's a process

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recitals has all ways the event's that I am fond of ,to watch your students and your colleagues students playing in the front of there parents,that's making me proud about my self and my students
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
There's no recipe for what is the advice to find a teacher that suit you.
My advice is to try first ,and figure out
What are you actually looking it might takes time but you will find the right one
Remember you don't have any obligation to the teacher,except for paying for your lessons ,you don't have to keep having music lessons with the same privet teacher or music school
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should talk and demonstrate there music skills if there's is any .
And ask for advice regarding purchase musical instruments
