i have been teaching for decades, I'm a studio and live performance guitarist. I have played and recorded with several national acts.I have been playing for over 60 years
I enjoy watching g the progress my students make, the smiles that it brings to their faces warms my heart

How did you get started teaching?
I was hired as a young player by a major musical instrument lesson company. I travelled to the students homes

I've worked with students from 6 to 80 years old..including my own grandchildren

I recently helped a young student acquire his first guitar and made sure it what the right fit for him
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Meet the teacher, ask questions, know that a good teacher will be able to teach you to play if you have the desire

Students should have realistic expectations..
A student should have some idea of what they'd like to play, rock, country , or whatever
