What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First ...we get to know you personally. If we are going to spend time with you, it's nice to know a little about you.
Second...we evaluate your level and start from there. Not everyone learns the same way so we asses what you want to achieve and find the method best suited for your goals and ability.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of my teachers are lifelong musicians and take a personal interest in seeing our students succeed!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our lessons are $20 per half-hour. Once a week at our comfortable studio. We are centrally located at the corner of 1st Ave S and Passedena Ave in St Petersburg. For booking call 727-458-6413
How did you get started teaching?
My mother taught music professionally for fifty years and I grew up watching her share the love of music with thousands of people. I am simply carrying her legacy forward.
What types of students have you worked with?
In the 20 years I have been teaching I have taught a wide variety of students. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to pursue thier love for music. It is truly one of the greatest gifts we can share.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We have 3-4 concerts every year. These events build confidence in our students and teach them the joy of sharing music with others.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure your teacher enjoys what they are doing. You can usually tell the first time you meet if you're going to have fun. Music is a gift and shouldn't be a stress fest!
