Describe a recent event you are fond of.
As part of a lesson I was giving, when the student learned they had been turning their body incorrectly for 15 years, through the use of TPI exercises, I was able to show this particular client how to rotate their body efficiently within a golf swing. It completely eliminated their slice!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the coach you are looking for has experience coaching students/clients like you. If they don't, you might want to reconsider.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
A student must ask a coach what their philosophy is. Every good experienced coach could tell you on a ride in an elevator what their philosophy is on the golf swing and how hey could improve your game. They must have experience in the area that you need and be able to provide a practice plan for you to improve whether that plan is range time or on-course time. A flexibility evaluation is very important as your body is the engine of the swing. If a coach doesn't understand the body, how will they be able to help you.
